Holly Cordero
The International Alliance for Women in Music is awarding a $300 classroom grant to Holly Cordero of Ridgeview Global Studies Academy in Davenport, Florida, USA. This grant will fund equipment rentals and venue costs, culminating in a concert series centering female bandleaders for their professional and artistic development.
Holly Cordero is an educator of 11 years, professional musician of 15 years, and an executive director of her nonprofit, Cordero Music Inc. for 2 years. Throughout her tenure, she has helped 5 students and one band obtain musical instruments for free to continue their musical learning; assisted more than 20 bands get started in their freelance career; curated 10 youth only festival and several all ages shows in Central Florida; and taught 10 students through the Nonprofit’s free lesson program. She continues to match students with instrument, performance opportunities, and private coaching with attention to those in low income areas and at risk youth.
