Eve Meyer Memorial Fund

As you know, Eve Meyer, without whom the IAWM Journal would not exist in its current form, recently passed away. She lived out her passionate commitment to the organization as editor-in-chief of the IAWM Journal for almost its entire existence. It has been one of the most important and consistent offerings of IAWM serving as both a testament to and a link among women in music for almost thirty years.
In addition to editing articles and overseeing publication of the Journal, Eve ushered the Journal through every update, increasing international coverage, adding graphics, mentoring new writers, and overseeing the recent re-imagining of the Journal as a digital document. Countless IAWM members have had the good fortune to work with Eve as Journal editor, and even more musicians have benefited from her professional career as professor, musicologist, and music editor. Many have wished for a way to express their deep appreciation of Eve and their sadness at her passing. The Board of IAWM can think of no better way to honor her than to strengthen the ongoing support of the work she held so dear—work that is crucial to our mission. Thus, we are happy to announce the creation of the Eve Meyer Memorial Fund, which will provide financial support for our Journal. To honor Eve Meyer and provide for the future of the IAWM Journal, please join us in contributing to this fund.
